Hustle, Meet Gratitude - Making Space for Gratefulness
In a Hustle Culture

To be a successful entrepreneur, you need to show up, be present, do your best…
But not all the time!
Studies have shown that when you’re tired, burned out, stressed, your IQ actually goes down.
We’re not able to see what we DO have in our life: the abundance that is all around us every day. We won’t be able to have rest, nor enjoy the peace that rest brings.
As we head to the holiday season, let’s think about ways to show gratitude towards the people in our lives - the clients, family, and friends who got us where we are today.
What are some ways to show gratitude and appreciation towards our clients?
You may be surprised to know that it doesn’t have to be costly or complicated.
Be vulnerable - trust them enough to be transparent with them. Letting them into your personal life just a little helps them to know you and expresses your trust in them.
Tell your clients how much you appreciate them with a personal email or card. Tell them why you appreciate them, why they matter to you, why you’re thankful for them.
Refer others to your clients in referral-based businesses. Take the time to make a personal introduction and really make a connection.
For clients who do not have referral-based businesses, tell them about products or services that may help them in their business, or send them something that’s related to a personal passion or interest. It shows that you’ve taken the time to notice them and their needs and interests.

Running towards gratitude reflects a healthy mindset
It says we recognize that what we already have is good. It doesn’t mean we don’t have aspirations, goals, or dreams. But it does mean that we are able to pause and focus on the present and be grateful for what we do have.
Here’s a challenge for you
Grab your phone and take a few minutes to record a video thanking a client or colleague in your network and tell them why you’re grateful for and what you appreciate about them. You’ll be amazed at how that fills your own cup, too.
Last but not least…
I want you to know I’m grateful for YOU. Thank you so much for taking a few minutes of your time to listen to this podcast each week. You listen to me, participate in the challenges, give me feedback, and you’re not afraid to get to know me a little better! So here’s my personal cell number 803-389-7364, please use it to text me and let me know what I can help you with or what you need.
And take a few extra minutes of rest this week - you can tell your family, friends, and colleagues that Alicia gifted it to you. So take it! Good rest fuels great work...
Cheers!
